1. Introduction

This Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy (“Policy”) explains the ownership, use, and protection of the content, software, designs, and other intellectual property made available through Accelerate Career Hub (“Accelerate Career Hub,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

This Policy applies to all users of the platform, including job seekers, employers, recruiters, instructors, content contributors, and visitors.

By accessing or using Accelerate Career Hub, you agree to comply with this Policy.

2. Ownership of Platform Content

Unless otherwise stated, all original content developed and published by Accelerate Career Hub, including but not limited to:

is owned by or licensed to Accelerate Career Hub and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

No ownership rights are transferred to users through their use of the platform.

3. Name and Brand

The name Accelerate Career Hub, its logo, branding, and other brand elements are the property of the platform owner.

Although these brand elements may not yet be registered as trademarks, they remain protected under applicable laws relating to copyright, passing off, and other intellectual property rights.

Users may not copy, imitate, or use the platform’s name, logo, branding, or visual identity in a manner that is likely to mislead the public or suggest an affiliation without prior written permission.

4. User-Generated Content

Users retain ownership of the content they create and upload to the platform, including:

  • Resumes and CVs

  • Cover letters

  • Company profiles

  • Job advertisements

  • Portfolio materials

  • Profile photographs

  • Course submissions

  • Comments

  • Other original content

By uploading content, you grant Accelerate Career Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, revocable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, promoting, and providing the platform’s services.

This licence ends when your content is permanently removed from the platform, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate operational purposes.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you upload:

  • Belongs to you, or

  • Is used with the permission of the rightful owner.

You must not upload content that:

  • Infringes copyright.

  • Violates another person’s intellectual property rights.

  • Misappropriates confidential information.

  • Uses copyrighted material without authorization.

You agree to indemnify Accelerate Career Hub against claims arising from content you submit.

6. Permitted Use of Platform Content

Users may:

  • View platform content.

  • Download materials where expressly permitted.

  • Print limited portions for personal, educational, or recruitment purposes.

Such use must not:

  • Remove copyright notices.

  • Alter ownership information.

  • Suggest ownership of the content.

  • Misrepresent the source of the material.

7. Prohibited Use

Without prior written permission, users shall not:

  • Copy substantial portions of the platform.

  • Republish platform content.

  • Sell or license platform materials.

  • Modify platform content for commercial use.

  • Reverse engineer software where prohibited by law.

  • Scrape or harvest platform data using automated tools.

8. Copyright Infringement

Accelerate Career Hub respects the intellectual property rights of others.

If you believe that content available on the platform infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a written complaint containing:

  • Your full name.

  • Your contact information.

  • Identification of the copyrighted work.

  • Identification of the allegedly infringing content.

  • A statement explaining your ownership or authorization.

  • A declaration that the information provided is accurate.

We will review complaints in good faith and may remove or restrict access to disputed content while an investigation is conducted.

9. Repeat Infringers

Users who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others may have their accounts:

  • Suspended.

  • Restricted.

  • Permanently terminated.

Accelerate Career Hub reserves the right to take additional action where necessary to protect intellectual property rights.

10. Third-Party Content

Certain content available on the platform may belong to third parties, including:

  • Employers

  • Recruiters

  • Training providers

  • Educational institutions

  • Technology partners

Ownership of such content remains with the respective owners.

Accelerate Career Hub does not claim ownership of third-party content unless expressly stated.

11. Feedback and Suggestions

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, recommendations, or feedback regarding the platform, you agree that Accelerate Career Hub may use such feedback to improve its services without any obligation to provide compensation, attribution, or ownership rights, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

12. Enforcement

Where we reasonably believe that intellectual property rights have been violated, Accelerate Career Hub may:

  • Remove the offending content.

  • Restrict access to the content.

  • Suspend or terminate user accounts.

  • Request additional information from the parties involved.

  • Take legal action where appropriate.

13. Limitation of Liability

Accelerate Career Hub acts as an online platform for user-generated content.

We do not guarantee that all content uploaded by users is free from intellectual property disputes.

Users remain solely responsible for the legality and ownership of the content they upload.

14. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any dispute arising under this Policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nigeria unless otherwise resolved through an agreed alternative dispute resolution process.

15. Amendments

Accelerate Career Hub reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time.

Updated versions become effective immediately upon publication on the platform. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
