1. Introduction
This Job Seeker Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the use of Accelerate Career Hub by individuals seeking employment, internships, apprenticeships, volunteer opportunities, freelance engagements, or career development services.
By creating an account, uploading a resume, applying for jobs, enrolling in courses, or using any service offered through Accelerate Career Hub, you agree to comply with this Agreement, our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and other applicable platform policies.
2. Eligibility
To register as a Job Seeker, you must:
Be at least 18 years old or the legal working age in your jurisdiction.
Provide truthful, complete, and accurate information.
Register only one personal account unless otherwise approved by Accelerate Career Hub.
Use the platform only for lawful employment and career development purposes.
Providing false or misleading information may result in suspension or termination of your account.
3. Creating Your Account
To access certain services, you must create a Job Seeker account.
When registering, you agree to:
Use your legal name or a commonly recognized professional name.
Provide a valid email address and phone number.
Keep your login credentials confidential.
Update your information whenever it changes.
Accept responsibility for all activities carried out through your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
4. Your Profile and Resume
Your profile represents your professional identity on the platform.
You are responsible for ensuring that your profile, CV, resume, certifications, portfolio, and employment history are:
Accurate.
Current.
Complete.
Truthful.
Free from misleading or fraudulent information.
Accelerate Career Hub does not verify every qualification or claim made by users and is not responsible for inaccuracies contained in user profiles.
5. Job Applications
Accelerate Career Hub enables you to search and apply for employment opportunities posted by employers.
When applying for jobs, you agree to:
Apply only for positions that genuinely match your qualifications and interests.
Submit truthful application materials.
Communicate professionally with employers.
Respond promptly where reasonably possible.
Attend interviews you have accepted unless prevented by genuine circumstances.
Repeated abuse of the application process may result in restrictions on your account.
6. Resume Builder
Accelerate Career Hub may provide tools that assist users in creating professional resumes and CVs.
You retain ownership of the information you enter into the Resume Builder.
By using the Resume Builder, you authorize Accelerate Career Hub to:
Store your resume.
Display it according to your privacy settings.
Make it available to employers where you have chosen to apply or where your profile visibility settings permit.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of all resume content.
7. Profile Visibility
You may control the visibility of your profile through available privacy settings.
Depending on your chosen settings, your profile may be visible to:
Employers.
Recruiters.
Recruitment agencies.
Verified organizations using the platform.
Accelerate Career Hub cannot guarantee that third parties who lawfully access your profile will not retain or use information you voluntarily make available.
8. Online Learning
Job Seekers may enroll in courses, webinars, workshops, and other learning opportunities available through the platform.
Participants agree to:
Use course materials solely for personal learning.
Refrain from copying, distributing, or selling educational content without permission.
Complete assessments honestly.
Respect instructors and other learners.
Certificates issued upon course completion confirm successful completion of the learning requirements but do not guarantee employment, professional licensing, or certification by any government authority.
9. Communications
You agree to communicate respectfully with employers, recruiters, instructors, and other users.
You shall not:
Send abusive messages.
Harass or threaten other users.
Use offensive language.
Send spam.
Attempt to deceive employers.
Request or share confidential information unlawfully.
10. Prohibited Activities
Job Seekers shall not:
Create fake accounts.
Submit forged certificates or qualifications.
Upload false resumes.
Impersonate another individual.
Attempt unauthorized access to the platform.
Upload malicious software.
Use automated tools to submit mass applications without authorization.
Engage in fraudulent employment schemes.
Misuse employer information obtained through the platform.
Violation of these provisions may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.
11. Ownership of Content
You retain ownership of your personal information, resumes, portfolios, and other content uploaded to the platform.
By uploading content, you grant Accelerate Career Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
You confirm that you own or have the legal right to use all content you upload.
12. Employment Decisions
Accelerate Career Hub provides technology that connects employers with job seekers.
We do not:
Make hiring decisions.
Conduct interviews on behalf of employers.
Guarantee interviews.
Guarantee employment.
Guarantee salary levels.
Guarantee recruitment outcomes.
All hiring decisions are made solely by employers.
13. Privacy
Your personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using the platform, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your information as described in that Policy.
14. Account Suspension and Termination
Accelerate Career Hub reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account where you:
Violate this Agreement.
Provide false information.
Engage in fraudulent activities.
Abuse other users.
Compromise platform security.
Misuse platform services.
Where appropriate, we may remove misleading content or restrict access without prior notice.
15. Limitation of Liability
Accelerate Career Hub provides a technology platform for employment and career development.
We do not warrant or guarantee:
Availability of vacancies.
Suitability of employers.
Accuracy of all job advertisements.
Successful recruitment.
Employment offers.
Career progression.
Users access and use the platform at their own discretion and risk.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Accelerate Career Hub, its owners, employees, affiliates, and service providers against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the platform.
Information you upload.
Your communications with employers.
Your breach of this Agreement.
Your violation of applicable laws or the rights of any third party.
17. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Nigeria unless otherwise resolved through an agreed alternative dispute resolution process.
18. Amendments
Accelerate Career Hub reserves the right to amend this Agreement from time to time.
Revised versions shall become effective immediately upon publication on the platform. Continued use of the platform after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.
19. Acceptance
By registering as a Job Seeker, creating a profile, uploading a resume, applying for jobs, enrolling in training, or using any service available on Accelerate Career Hub, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Job Seeker Agreement.
