1. Logistics Engineer

Procedures

  • Develops, streamlines, re-engineers and updates the logistics procedures relating to Aviation, Marine and Supply Base operations in close coordination with the specialists .
  • Follows up CMS and PRODOM documents control and reviews.

Planning and Budgeting

  • Contributes proactively to short, medium, and long-term Technical Logistics Planning
  • Liaises with the Integrated Planning Team and other entities to update the Primavera Planning Tool

Digital and Efficiency Initiatives

  • Identifies improvements and optimization factors for logistics operations by reviewing operations and visiting logistics sites (heliports, logistics bases, seaports, production sites, etc.).
  • Drives Innovation using digital initiatives and tools, working closely with the Digital Delivery Team
  • Liaises with the different Domain experts and specialists to prepare Roadmaps towards Cost Efficiency

GHG Initiatives

  • Actively participates in Carbon Footprint Reduction Initiatives
  • Reports Fuel Consumptions DW assets and Technical Logistics Means for Enablon Reporting with the Environment Team

Cost Control and Optimization

  • Prepares the Technical Logistics activity reports (Helicopters, Vessels, Base) and liaises with Cost Control to ensure accurate and transparent cost allocation and reconciliation.
  • Participates in Budget and PDC reviews, SUBCOMS, etc.

CFT Support

  • Records and reviews operational, commercial statistics and KPIs to prepare studies and contract negotiations, identify consolidation, cost saving opportunities and optimize logistics performance.
  • Participates in the definition of contract scope, negotiations, and call for tender process.

IST Correspondence

  • Maintains IST correspondence and liaises with the IST Business Analyst for support to Technical Logistics
  • Prepares forecasts for IST equipment needs and IST related projects.

Reporting

  • Creates and maintain templates and tools for all Technical Logistics reports.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports, benchmark and analyze KPI/CPI reports with LSO HQ.

  • The job is based in Port-Harcourt or Lagos, Nigeria
  • Work regime is 5 working days per week, 8hours per day.

Job Dimensions

  • Technical Logistics Support for all Exploration and Production activities Site (3 F(P)SOs and 1 or more Drilling Rigs); using different types of offshore support vessels (OIMRs, PSVs, Terminal Tugs, FSIVs, Security and Crew Boats) on several long-term contracts, 2 or more helicopters (Heavy and medium range); and Logistics Bases at Ladol and Onne.
  • Vessel Movements yearly: Over 20,000 Marine Cargo hours and up to 150,000tons transported.
  • Flights and passengers transported yearly: Up to 4000 flying hours and 150,000pax transported.

About the job

Activités

Security Strategy and Implementation

  • Contributes and advises on the security strategy for the District
  • Actively participates in Security Risk Assessment of JV Assets as it concerns Field Operations
  • Presentation of strategic plans to District Management

Oversight of Government Security Forces Deployed to Onne, NOPL and Onshore Projects

  • Maintains operational contacts with Commanders of assigned security forces in JV Asset and manages adherence to Company procedures and rules of engagement
  • Supervises security forces activities to ensure that they operate in line with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights and escalates any incidents that result from their activities to the Security Manager
  • Implements approved processes to ensure that the required number of Government Security Forces for JV Asset operations are prepared and escalated to the Manager, JV Security Operations and also and ensures that the personnel so posted are operationally ready.

Operational Coordination of the Deployment of Security Resources for Operations

  • Supervises the activities of security personnel in his area of operation
  • Audit of security measures at NOPL, Onne and Onshore Projects
  • Supervises the deployment of security vehicles and security forces for provision of escorts for all movements
  • Prepares operational orders for execution of critical and routine staff and assets protective duties

Co-ordination of Security Control Room activities

  • Ensures that the equipment and personnel required for smooth operations of the Security Control Room at NOPL are clearly identified, and implementation process planned
  • Supervises the security tasks for Security Control Room operations including but not limited to route monitoring, alert system and surveillance means are properly designed and implemented in the Control Room in conformity with Company internal procedures, including all safety guidelines/standards.

Critical Role Player in Threat Analysis and Risk Evaluation

  • Collates and analyses received intelligence reports and proposes solutions to JV Security Operations Manager
  • Investigates and provides detailed report of incidents, crime, loss of company properties, anomalies, breaches, gaps, near misses, accidents and complaints related to field operations security and recommends remedial actions to prevent future occurrence.

Operational Support for emergency preparedness

  • Assists JV Security Operations Manager during mobilization of EMT and ensures that the instructions on equipment and resources availability are executed
  • Develops and instigates training for the security emergency preparedness of the security operations team in liaison with other entities such as Techlog, HSE, Field Ops, ECP, and General Services

Reporting & process performance

  • For Planned Works, Provide Technical support to EGINA Offshore Inspection staff and follow up the Technical Queries or Logistic Matters raised by them
  • Coordinates emergencies related to loss of containment to find appropriate mitigations and/or repair methodology

Core functions

 

  • Carry out technical engineering studies for the design, installation and standardization of Telecom systems and associated utilities, in line with standard specifications and GS TEL installation rules.
  • Prepares technical specifications and scope of work to approved standards for various Telecoms projects (evolution/revamp, O&G), evaluate technical bids and prepares evaluation reports and supervise the project deployment.
  • Monitor the systems compliance and implement Key Performance Indicator metrics. Also carry out routine telecommunication assessment visit and propose improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports, assisting in development of the 5-year work program, evaluating equipment obsolescence and propose replacement plan, update engineering and technical documents and manuals.
  • Preparation of technical dossier (Scope of work) to request for quotation from contractors regarding telecommunication projects, and specific operations on systems.
  • Participate in supervision of third-party contractor on site to ensure compliance to installation rules.
  • Actively participate in FAT, Commissioning activities for all Telecoms equipment and systems, and prepares punch lists and follow-up the progress of the punch list.
  • Participates in various commercial activities as required, coordinates the inspection of materials, evaluates technical offers, prepares Service Orders, answers technical queries from suppliers.
  • Implement approved technical solutions for new systems, systems integration, and system upgrades as will be assigned by the hierarchies.

Traverse Functions :

  • Provide Operation and maintenance support in collaboration with Field Engineers and Technicians, of the following field systems and equipment: PA/GA, CCTV, GMDSS, Access control, Radar with AIS, UHF/VHF Radios, Satellite TV, Line of site/ non-line of site microwave links: WiMAX, 4G/LTE, Radar Beacon (RACON), Non-Directional Beacon (NBD), Video conference, Infrastructure monitoring systems.
  • Support offshore Telecom specialists and assist in carrying out maintenance activities on Telecom systems.
  • Recommend for adoption, appropriate solutions for operational problems/anomalies of Telecommunication Equipment/Systems at Field.
  • Participate in affiliate Telecoms and other IST projects and related task forces and deliver on assigned tasks.
