The Strategic Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with dLocal’s goals and enhance its reputation. This role involves managing external relations and overseeing the creation of compelling content across various platforms and for different audiences. This role will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining dLocal’s public image and ensuring that communication efforts support its strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and a skilled leader in the field of communications.

What will I be doing?

    • Corporate Communications Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a strategic communications plan that supports dLocal’s overall commercial objectives and is aligned with key brand narrative.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization’s brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
    • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies.
    • Media Engagement:
    • Build and maintain Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential reputational risks.
    • Serve as a key point of contact during crises, ensuring consistent and effective communication.
    • Content development:
    • Create and supervise agencies’ development of compelling content for various platforms, including press releases, articles, social media, and website content, in close collaboration with the marketing team.
    • Advise and support senior executives in crafting key messages for internal and external communication.
    • Prepare them for media interviews, public speaking engagements, and other communication opportunities.

What skills do I need?

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or equivalent experience.
    • Strong media relations experience and ability to handle high-profile interactions.
    • Crisis communication experience and the ability to navigate sensitive issues.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with solid understanding of digital communication platforms and trends.
    • Familiarity with industry-specific communication challenges and opportunities in the fintech industry.
    • Ability to think strategically and align communication efforts with organizational goals.
