Job Description

  • The Senior Manager Client Marketing in West Africa will lead client relationships with banks Fintechs and merchants to create bigger value for Visa and Visa clients through marketing strategy and co marketing initiatives and deliver innovative solutions through Visa marketing advisory services
  • As part of West Africa Marketing team the Senior Client Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of strategic marketing programs on behalf of Visa  s clients to achieve Visa and the client  s business objectives  As well supporting all business development efforts in selling marketing engagements Value-added Services (VAS) revenue and deepen client’s brand and customer engagement  Marketing engagements will include creating growth strategies customer research & insights product launch campaigns lifecycle marketing strategy creative development channel delivery influencer marketing and events marketing via Visa sponsorships
  • The role will report to the Director of Marketing in West Africa and will be part of the West Africa cluster team and Sub-Saharan Marketing team


What a Senior Manager – Client Marketing does at Visa

  • Account based marketing by leading client relationships across banks Fintechs and merchants and create bigger value for Visa and Visas clients through marketing strategy and co marketing initiatives and deliver innovative solutions through Visas marketing advisory services  Aligning to Visa  s client centric sales methodology you will work with the West Africa Marketing team SSA Marketing Team Marketing Hub and Country cross functional team to strategize and propose impactful and relevant marketing programs to drive business revenue for our clients  Given our clients   varied needs these programs would span across both B2B and B2C
  • This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • To bring the best of Visa marketing expertise to our key clients and you will work cohesively with the Visa marketing community locally regionally and globally West Africa Business Development team Product Visa Consulting and MS&A teams
  • Partner closely with cross functional teams to sell in and implement marketing programs leveraging Visa resources and expertise to deliver digital first and strategic marketing initiatives with the objective of driving acquisition activation usage brand preference deepen engagement thought leadership and retention
  • Lead implementation of marketing programs on behalf of Visa clients including the day to day prioritization of work across multiple projects deliverables and stakeholders this includes developing and managing project plans agency briefings third party vendor relationships
  • Manage internal Visa processes to support the implementation of marketing projects including business development pipeline tracking agency   client SOWs vendor invoicing and project revenue recognition
  • Manage local contacts within the regional creative media and partnership agencies and vendors to ensure a client centric view in the development and implementation of all campaigns
  • Develop deeper client partnerships drive thought leadership and generating new revenue streams by providing Marketing VAS including marketing insight co creation strategy session data driven marketing methodologies and marketing consulting services
  • Oversee all administrative deliveries related to client marketing project management and VAS including and not limited to procurement processes contract management and VIK process management

  • 9 to12 years of work experience with a bachelor s degree or with an Advanced Degree For example Masters
  • An entrepreneurial results driven digital first strategist with proven experience developing and executing comprehensive digital strategies
  • Demonstrated marketing strategy and campaign management particularly in digital and partnership
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing plans to support the agreed marketing strategies and achievement of business and brand objectives
  • Develop programs that integrate B2C and B2B approaches
  • Proficiency in creating strategic documentations And Strong skills in PowerPoint Excel and Word
  • Understanding and application of data developing growth marketing strategies
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and collaboration
  • Ensure full alignment with audit and compliance requirements
  • Negotiation skills.
