Job Title: Senior Manager – Digital Economy / Youth, MSME and Entrepreneurship
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Description

- IDAS helps address challenges faced by the global development community, by working with public sector entities, bilateral and multilateral development agencies, NGOs, philanthropic foundations, and the private sector on a variety of programs.
- IDAS in Africa is currently looking for experienced and motivated individuals to support its business development and project delivery efforts across West Africa.
Purpose of the Role
- The successful candidate will lead our digital economy, youth, MSME, and entrepreneurship solutions across West Africa.
- The individual will be responsible to develop and deliver a portfolio of projects working with major institutional donors focused on resolving youth unemployment in the region.
- The role will require travel across West Africa.
Qualifications and Experience
- First Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, ICT, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field would be essential.
- At least 10 years of experience with major multilateral donor institutions working on various youth and MSME development programs, preferably in Africa.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting the development of the digital economy in a number of African countries.
- Track record of success in writing proposals and winning engagements.
- Established relationships and networks with institutional donors with a thematic focus on the digital economy, youth, and entrepreneurship.
Skills and Competencies:
- Good communication (written and verbal), numeracy, presentation, and analytical skills
- IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Office
- Team player with leadership capability
- Excellent coordination and planning skills
