Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary

  • The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance to ensure the organization’s products consistently meet required standards.
  • This role plays a key part in developing, implementing, and managing quality systems and processes, driving innovation, and ensuring workplace safety.
  • The Quality Assurance Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Develop and Implement Quality Standards: Establish, maintain, and enforce quality assurance protocols to ensure all products meet specifications, functional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Monitoring and Testing: Coordinate and supervise quality testing across all stages of production to proactively identify potential issues. Implement inspection procedures to monitor product quality and ensure compliance.
  • Evaluation of Raw Materials: Oversee the quality evaluation and testing of raw materials, including working with suppliers to resolve any quality issues.
  • Supervision of Demineralized Water Treatment Plant: Manage the operations of the demineralized water treatment plant to ensure water quality meets production and regulatory standards.
  • Product Complaint Review and Resolution: Investigate customer product complaints, analyze root causes, implement corrective actions, and develop preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
  • Sales Support: Provide technical assistance to the Sales team for product inspections and recommendations that meet customer requirements, ensuring product quality aligns with customer needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products adhere to relevant federal, state, and organizational standards. Regularly review and update QA processes to reflect changes in regulatory and industry standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all quality assurance documentation, including quality reports, statistical reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Weekly and Monthly Reporting: Submit weekly reports summarizing QA activities and monthly summary reports that highlight key findings, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Innovation in QA Processes: Proactively seek and implement innovative solutions to enhance QA processes, product reliability, and production efficiency.
  • Data-Driven Quality Improvements: Use collected data to identify quality improvement areas, optimise processes, and implement strategies to increase productivity.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay informed on industry advancements and incorporate relevant trends and technologies into quality assurance strategies.

Safety and Risk Management:

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all QA activities are performed in accordance with safety standards and guidelines. Promote a safety-conscious culture within the QA team and production environments.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the QA process and implement strategies to mitigate them, maintaining safe and compliant operational standards.
  • Workplace Safety Training: Conduct regular training for the QA team to ensure adherence to safety practices and protocols. People and Resource Management
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead recruitment, training, and development efforts for QA team members. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and motivation to create a high-performing team focused on quality and safety.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate training to enhance capability in quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Maintain strong communication with QA, technical, production, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and procedures.
