Job Summary

The product/interior designer will be responsible for designing and shaping our products’ user experience and user interface.
They will plan and create aesthetically pleasing and functional products and spaces.
They will work with budgets to create and understand their design preferences, budget constraints, and requirements to transform spaces into visually appealing and practical environments.

Job Responsibilities

Create and translate designs, concepts, and sketches into accurate drawings.
Conduct research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points and translate them into design solutions that address user problems.
Conduct meetings with clients to discuss their needs and style preferences.
Coordinate with contractors and tradespeople
Oversee costing budget and put together project estimates.
Choosing design features such as furnishing, materials, and artwork
Collaborate with architects, engineers, etc to further understand how an interior space should function, appear, or be furnished.
Building the development of prototypes and CAD models before going into production
Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in the industry.
Performs other duties as assigned
Designing custom pieces or styles according to specifications.
Preparing or directing the preparation of blueprints containing manufacturing specifications such as dimensions, wood type, and upholstery fabrics to be used in making the product.
Ensure product designs meet required safety and structural standards.
Blend technique and aesthetics to create final designs.
Generate solid and surface CAD models using AutoCAD software.
Preparing concept presentations.
Skills and Qualifications
- B.Sc / HND or equivalent in Design, Architecture, or related field
- 2-4 years CAD /Product/Interior or Set design or related field.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite or related software
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and codes.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
- Basic understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors.
