Job Description
- We are currently seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to oversee our logistics operations and contribute to our success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels of vehicles, parts, and accessories for both workshop and dealership.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of vehicles and parts.
- Manage the receipt, inspection, and distribution of incoming vehicles and parts; oversee the shipping process for import and export consignments and all outgoing products.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet dealership and/or workshop goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers; negotiate contracts and terms.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all logistics-related documentation, including shipping manifests, delivery receipts, and inventory records.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of logistics and warehouse staff; ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with the sales, service and operations departments to ensure customer orders and deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- 5 years + experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management (preferred).
- Relevant certifications or training in automotive quality control.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and inventory control.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repair processes, and quality control standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
