Job Title: Lead Territory Manager

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Job Summary

  • The Lead Territory Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales activities within Nigeria.
  • This role involves managing a team of Territory Managers across multiple locations, developing strategic sales plans, maintaining strong relationships with dental professionals, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of the dental supply industry, and a proven track record in sales management.

 

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Territory Managers to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development to the sales team.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize market penetration and growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data, adjusting strategies as needed to meet and exceed targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive initiatives to capture additional market share.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key dental professionals, practices, and institutions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular client visits to promote products, gather feedback, and provide training.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage customer information and sales activities.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with product management to communicate customer needs and feedback for product development.
  • Liaise with the supply chain team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.

 

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the dental supply or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in managing and developing a high-performing sales team.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel within the territory as required.
