Roles and Responsibilities: Internal Control Officer
- Ensure all required documentation, procedures are completed, organized, and retained for each audit/daily call-over.
- Evaluate and provide reasonable assurance that risk management control and governance systems are functioning as intended.
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
- Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum.
- Coordinate with another audit, risk management and compliance functions within the organization.
- Ensure that the control and audit unit develops and maintains a high standard of customer service.
- Also, ensure that high standards of staff conduct and integrities are maintained and that appropriate development and training needs are identified and resolved.
Qualifications
- B.Sc / HND in Accounting or any related courses and ACA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years on-the-job experience in similar roles in a financial Institution.
- Cognitive skills – critical reasoning, numeric abilities, good writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Respect for deadlines.
- Strong team player and interpersonal skills
- People-oriented and results-driven.
- Team Spirit.
