Roles and Responsibilities: Internal Control Officer

  • Ensure all required documentation, procedures are completed, organized, and retained for each audit/daily call-over.
  • Evaluate and provide reasonable assurance that risk management control and governance systems are functioning as intended.
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
  • Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum.
  • Coordinate with another audit, risk management and compliance functions within the organization.
  • Ensure that the control and audit unit develops and maintains a high standard of customer service.
  • Also, ensure that high standards of staff conduct and integrities are maintained and that appropriate development and training needs are identified and resolved.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND in Accounting or any related courses and ACA is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years on-the-job experience in similar roles in a financial Institution.
  • Cognitive skills – critical reasoning, numeric abilities, good writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Respect for deadlines.
  • Strong team player and interpersonal skills
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Team Spirit.
