Job Description
- A Hygiene Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment in various settings, such as food processing, healthcare, or hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement hygiene policies, procedures, and protocols
- Supervise and train hygiene staff, including cleaners, sanitarians, and quality control technicians
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Investigate hygiene-related incidents and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Stay up to date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND
- Certifications like Certified Environmental Health Specialist (CEHS) or Certified Hygiene Specialist (CHS) are a plus
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a related field, such as quality control, sanitation, or environmental health
- Proven track record of implementing effective hygiene practices and ensuring compliance with regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of hygiene principles, sanitation practices, and environmental health regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to supervise and train team members
- Ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify areas for improvement
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Understanding of data analysis and reporting to track hygiene performance and identify trends
