Job Title: HR/Admin Manager | Location: Victoria Island, Lagos | Industry: Oil and Gas | Budget: N500,000 – 600,000 | Mode: Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Support departments in developing and delivering strategic HR plans that fit with the overall business direction
- Plan, monitor, and coordinate the appraisal processes across all departments
- Supervise and Manage the recruitment procedures from commencement to integration of new employee(s)
- Resolve and report employee grievances with laid down guidelines and procedures.
- Engage in coaching, disciplinary procedures, and counseling actions
- Oversee and plan the staff training and development programs for implementation and align on need purposes
- Lead recruitment need, and prepare employees for their assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
- Champion the onboarding process by ensuring that it’s high-quality and up to date, and provide clarity and connection for employees so their roles serve the overall business vision
- Oversee and refine employee standards and procedures, using existing HR systems as well as improved or recommended processes
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resources policies and procedures
- Build strong relationships with external suppliers, fostering trust and promoting collaboration
- Handle confidential matters with discretion
- Thorough understanding of the HR value chain and Workforce planning processes and guidelines
- Knowledgeable about employee engagement with the ability to connect easily with all employees with a detailed-oriented mindset for handling the dynamic nature of today’s workforce
- Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, reward management, health insurance, expense reimbursement, payroll administration staff vacation while refining systems
- Ensure compliance with national and local HR regulations by conducting investigations and maintaining records
- Identify and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale building
- Ensure and improve the corporate structure of the organization
- Supervise the office administration while creating a conducive work environment for maximum staff performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field
- Certified and a member of HR regulatory bodies- Local and International- an added advantage)
- 4 – 6 years of experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a similar industry e.g FMCG, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas etc
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Integrity and commitment to maintaining financial confidentiality
