Job Description of a Sales & Marketing Officer

  • The focus will be on Healthcare accounts wholesalers, distributors, pharmacies, etc
  • Responsibility for moving the account pursuit through the entire sales cycle
  • Leverage client relationships and detailed knowledge of clients’ commercial processes to ensure predictable execution of deals against quarterly and annual targets
  • Responsible for establishing goals, and standards, implementing plans, and providing resources to drive profitability
  • Meets/exceeds client expectations and drives profitable business growth by delivering client results
  • Knowing our products inside and out so that you can answer questions
  • Making appointments to see existing and potential clients
  • Presenting products to pharmacists and other clients
  • Persuading clients to buy your company’s products
  • Meeting sales targets
  • Keeping records of sales and customers
  • Reporting information back to the team lead about customer needs
  • Make presentations to pharmacists in the retail sector
  • Keep detailed records of all contacts
  • Onboard new customers, as well as develop long-term relationships with existing ones.
  • Meet sales targets, regularly monitoring your business plans to make sure you achieve this.
  • Plan work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables with the area sales team or discuss future targets with the area sales manager
  • Regularly attend company meetings, technical data presentations, and briefings
  • Analyze sales data to improve results and make sure resources are effectively allocated
  • Monitor competitor activity and competitors’ products
  • Develop strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector
  • Participate in quality improvement of slow-selling products and program development activities.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and to take the initiative to follow up on customers/clients.
  • Ability to recognize relationship challenges with customers/clients, and the ability to initiate appropriate action to resolve them

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS- Sales & Marketing Officer

  • Minimum of BSC/HND in marketing or related field
  • Proven sales and marketing experience 2-3 years and above or a similar role
  • A plus for applicants with personal care, pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach

 

 

 

 

LOCATION: Lekki Phase 1 Lagos
SALARY: 100k to 130k
GENDER: Female (for gender balance)
