Job Brief

We are seeking a highly organized and personable Customer Service Officer to be the face of our client’s company. The successful candidate will manage front desk operations, interact with customers, handle inquiries, and ensure a positive experience for all visitors. You will also manage our customer database and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of our office.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing friendly and professional service.
  • Receive and greet visitors, direct them to the appropriate staff, and announce their arrival.
  • Answer phones, transfer calls, schedule appointments, and manage the flow of traffic in the office.
  • Oversee security procedures by monitoring the logbook and controlling access via the reception desk.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide product/service information.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Keep customers informed about new products and services, aiming to increase sales.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Manage customer and other relevant databases, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring they are distributed or dispatched promptly.
  • Assist with filing, data entry, photocopying, transcribing, and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Order and maintain office supplies, keeping inventory and ensuring that the reception area is tidy and well-stocked.
  • Update calendars, schedule meetings, arrange travel, and prepare vouchers as needed.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide product/service information.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (No HNDs)
  • Minimum Second Class Upper Degree
  • Proven experience in a similar customer service or administrative role
  • Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience
  • Patience and the ability to stay calm in intense environments
  • Adaptability and flexibility in dealing with different customer needs
  • Attention to detail in managing multiple tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning and personal organization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools
