JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team and lead the operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational management of a reputable organization. With a proven track record of driving efficiency and productivity, the COO will work closely with the board of Trustees to ensure that the church’s mission, values, and goals are carried out effectively.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in operational management, with a focus on NGO, banking, school, insurance, or related sectors
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset.
• Proven experience in budget management, financial planning, and cost control.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management:
– Oversee and manage the organization’s daily operations, including facilities, maintenance, and security.
– Ensure that all church events, programs, and services run smoothly and efficiently.
– Work with the Executive team to coordinate logistics and resources for church activities.
• Financial Management:
– Oversee the church’s budgeting process and financial planning.
– Monitor and manage church finances, including income, expenses, and investments.
– Provide financial reports and analysis to the Executive team.
• Strategic Planning:
– Collaborate with the board of trustees to develop and implement strategic plans.
– Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the organization’s operations.
– Participate in long-term planning for the organization’s future.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
– Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
– Develop and implement risk management strategies for the church.
– Maintain policies and procedures to protect the church’s assets and reputation.
• Communication and Coordination:
– Serve as a liaison between the CEO and church staff, volunteers, and congregation.
– Facilitate clear and effective communication within the church.
– Coordinate with external partners, vendors, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Project Management:
– Oversee special projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO.
– Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with the church’s mission.
• Community Engagement:
– Represent the church in community and interfaith events.
– Foster relationships with other churches, community organizations, and local businesses.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager who can lead the HR department of our organization, manage all human resources functions, and support the organization organizations mission and vision. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management for both pastoral and administrative staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong HR experience in all the HR value chains and work closely with the board of trustees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualification and Experience

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
– HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SPHRi, CIPM) is mandatory.
– Minimum of 15 years of experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in a bank, educational institution, Insurance, religious or nonprofit organization
– Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
– Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
– Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
– High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
– Understanding and appreciation of church culture and values.
