Job Title: Gallery Assistant

Job Summary

  • The Gallery Assistant at Windsor Gallery will support daily operations, assist with exhibitions, and provide excellent customer service to gallery visitors.
  • This role involves a variety of administrative tasks, from managing the gallery’s schedule to assisting in sales and marketing efforts.

 

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, providing information about exhibitions and artists.
  • Handle sales transactions and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Assist with the planning, setup, and breakdown of exhibitions and events.
  • Manage gallery inventory and ensure artwork is properly cataloged.
  • Update and maintain the gallery’s website and social media platforms.
  • Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence.
  • Support the Gallery Director with various tasks as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a gallery or arts-related environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A passion for contemporary art and a desire to learn more about the industry.
