Description
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Officer to join our team. As a Fleet Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of our fleet, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards. This is a key role that requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Your expertise in fleet management and logistics processes will be vital in streamlining operations, reducing costs, and improving overall performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the company’s fleet of vehicles
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet utilization and reduce downtime
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs of company vehicles
- Analyze data and generate reports to continuously monitor and improve fleet performance
- Bring in new vehicles to the fleet
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet management and transportation
- Register and license all vehicles under their management
- Find ways to cut costs and maximize profits
- You will be responsible for bringing in new vehicles to the fleet
- Develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection
Requirements
- Proven experience as fleet officer
- Excellent knowledge of transportation regulations
- Strong proficiency in fleet management software and other relevant tools
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Must have knowledge of E-hailing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Applicant should reside within Ikeja and it environs
