Financial Controller
Job Description
- Beacongate Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to support the company’s growth and profitability.

Responsibilities of a Financial Controller
Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Accounting Operations:
- Supervise the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other relevant financial standards.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial due diligence, and provide recommendations on acquisitions, dispositions, and capital expenditures.
- Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives to drive company growth.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts.
- Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements, including insurance, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance, or a related field; ICAN, ACCAor CMA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven experience in the property management industry, with a deep understanding of real estate finance and accounting principles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and mentoring staff.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively.
