We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Officer
Locations: Lagos

Description

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process invoices promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors while adhering to company policies.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain accurate records.

General Ledger Maintenance:

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist in month-end close procedures.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Compile financial data and generate reports for management review.

Assistance in Audits:

  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Assist in implementing audit recommendations to improve financial controls and processes.

Financial Analysis:

  • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation and records for audits and compliance purposes.

Software Proficiency:

  • Utilize accounting software systems effectively for processing transactions and generating reports.
  • Assist in implementing upgrades and enhancements to accounting software as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure team environment.
