PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems and related peripherals.
THE JOB
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems and related peripherals.
- Provide broad range of IT support and liaise across functional areas supporting incidents, and requests ensuring minimal downtime.
- Build and install PCs, telephone systems, wireless networks, and peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners, mobile/smart phones) related to desktop infrastructure.
- Identify, log and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems.
- Provide third-level support of desktop-related incidents, including desk-side visits as required.
- Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels agreements and in accordance with department guidelines.
- Assist the wider IT User Support Services team when required
THE PERSON MUST
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess analytical and solution oriented.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Be able to clearly and confidently communicate IT solutions to end users.
- Pay keen attention to details and be highly organized.
QUALIFICATION
- OND or equivalent in any computer related field.
EXPERIENCE
- At least one year experience in a medium sized manufacturing organization.
