Description
The Data Preparation and Entry Specialist is responsible for gathering, organizing, and accurately entering data into our systems. This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of our data, supporting the corporate services department in achieving their operational goals. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to data management.
Key Accountabilities
- Data Preparation: Collect, organize, and prepare historical and current data from multiple sources for entry.
- Data Entry: Accurately input data into databases, spreadsheets, and other systems following company standards.
- Data Verification: Review and verify data for accuracy and consistency, identifying and correcting any errors.
- Database Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain databases, performing routine data cleaning and validation tasks.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data entry procedures and processes. Ensure all records are kept up to date and easily accessible.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to understand their data needs and provide support.
- Reporting: Generate ad-hoc reports as needed to understand the organizations current and historical data profile
Requirements
- Education: bachelor’s degree in a STEM or business/finance-related discipline
- Experience: Proven experience in data entry or a similar role. Experience with data management systems and databases is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on accuracy and precision in data handling.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
