About The Edo State Migration Agency
The Edo State Migration Agency; formal Edo State Taskforce Against Human Trafficking (ETHAT) is established by the Edo State Migration Law to addressing migration-related issues within the state. With a broader mandate, the Agency is tasked to managing migration, protect human rights, combat trafficking in person, facilitate the reintegration of returning migrants and foster sustainable development through effective migration policies.
The agency collaborates with relevant stakeholders to promote a safe and supportive environment for potential and returning migrants.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Data Management Officer
Location: Edo
Responsibilities
- Handle the collection, storage, and analysis of data.
- Develop and maintain databases to organize and store data.
- Prepare regular reports from data analysis, as well as relevant information on agency activities and initiatives.
- Ensure that all reports and documentation produced by the agency are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Archive data and documentation according to established protocols and procedures, ensuring that information is easily accessible for future reference and analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to gather data and information needed for specific projects or initiatives.
- Perform any other duties related to data management as assigned by the department head or agency leadership.
Education and Experience (Essential)
- Proficiency in data collection, storage, analysis, and archiving techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in working with data and documentation. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in database management systems and data analysis software. Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex data and
- information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
