Overview
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic IT security team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events, conducting threat assessments, and implementing security measures to protect the organization’s data and systems.
- This role requires a proactive individual with a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, unauthorized access, and phishing attempts.
- Conduct root cause analysis of security breaches and recommend remediation strategies.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and collaborate with relevant teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Track and report on the status of vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Maintain and optimize security tools, including antivirus software, endpoint protection, and network security devices.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of security technologies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Participate in security audits and assessments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Analyze threat intelligence data to identify potential risks to the organization and provide recommendations to enhance the organization’s security posture.
- Promote best practices for data protection and cybersecurity within the organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-4 years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools and incident response.
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and endpoint security
- CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CompTIA CySA+.
- Excellent understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCIDSS).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
