We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Compliance Manager
Location:
 Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Job

  • Develop and manage an effective compliance control system that provides reasonable assurance that cost-effective mitigation controls are used to prevent and detect violations, non-compliance with corporate policies, and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

 

The Job

  • Lead the implementation and management of an effective compliance control system that provides timely and accurate information to stakeholders facilitating their compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Legal Department and other compliance owners to understand applicable regulations and regulatory risks.
  • Monitor regulatory change, provide technical guidance to the business on relevant regulatory issues that impact our compliance program and assist where needed with implementation of regulatory developments.
  • Collaborate with internal Risk Management teams to identify steps necessary to mitigate regulatory risks and provide those recommendations to management.
  • Deliver compliance assurance reviews as part of the Compliance Monitoring Plan providing enhancement recommendations.
  • Monitor compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Economics, Finance or related discipline.
  • Master’s Degree or a related professional certification will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of cognate experience in a similar capacity.

The Person Must:

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
  • Have clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates strong judgment and problem-solving competencies.
  • Be assertive and confident in interpersonal skills.
  • Have proven ability to manage organization-wide programs with budget management.
  • Possess critical thinking with good attention to detail, information, and people management skills.
