The Feed Up Africa Food and Nutrition Development Initiative (FeedUp Africa), is an officially registered non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to tackling food security issues across the African continent. Founded in 2021, the organization obtained formal registration in 2022 from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria (RC 178934). FeedUp Africa is actively engaged in empowering communities to enhance their food security and nutritional well-being through sustainable programs and initiatives. Our core values center around the transformative potential of collaboration, innovation, and community involvement to create a significant impact in alleviating hunger and malnutrition.

Vision: FeedUp AFRICA is an organization set up with a goal to commit knowledge to espouse food and nutrition security indices and its impact on development in Africa.

Mission: To empower rural and peri-urban communities, farmers and agribusiness practitioners with practical knowledge, projects, programmes and best practices. To deploy advocacy channels armed with information to espouse the food security and development debacle in Africa.

 

Description of Community Nutritionist

  • As a community nutritionist, your role will be crucial in tailoring our intervention to meet the specific nutritional needs of mothers and their children under five.
  • You’ll use your expertise to empower mothers with practical knowledge and skills to nurture healthy children.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or related field.
  • Experience working in community-based nutrition programs.
  • Strong understanding of healthy diets and standard nutritional practices for children under five and their mothers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with diverse individuals.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on maternal and child health.
