Job Title: Centre Head – Diagnostics

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Centre Head to oversee the operations of our diagnostic lab.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the lab, including staff management, customer service, facility oversight, and operational efficiency.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality patient care, and a focus on continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the diagnostic lab, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise lab personnel, including radiologists, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure high standards of customer service by addressing patient and physician inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Implement patient satisfaction initiatives and monitor feedback to improve services.

Financial Oversight:

  • Prepare and manage the lab’s budget, including monitoring expenditures and revenues.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of lab results.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Facility Management:

  • Ensure the diagnostic lab is maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to coordinate services and enhance patient care.
  • Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory agencies.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans for the lab, including service expansion and market positioning.
  • Monitor industry trends and make recommendations for service offerings that align with market demands.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Prepare regular reports on lab performance, financials, and customer satisfaction for upper management.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to lab operations.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Life Sciences).
  • A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, MHA) is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a healthcare or diagnostic lab setting.
  • Proven track record of managing lab operations and staff effectively.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information systems and financial management tools.
