We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Business Development Manager – A2P SMS (Nigeria)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

 

Job Description

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales growth for our A2P SMS services.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Nigerian telecommunications industry, a proven track record in sales and business development, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new business opportunities in the A2P SMS and Voice (SIP Trunk) market.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including mobile network operators, aggregators, and enterprise clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements with clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company and expand the network

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the telecommunications or IT industry, preferably in A2P SMS services.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian telecommunications market and regulatory environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience working with telecom operators (MTN, AIRTEL, GLO, 9MOBILE, NTEL) or in the A2P SMS and Voice industry.
  • Experience in business development within OTT sectors such as banking, apps, and other digital services.
