1. Human Resource Assistant

Job Description

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resource Manager in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks to support the hiring process.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees into the organization.
  • Maintain HR records and databases accurately and confidentially, including employee information, attendance records, and performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist with employee relations activities, including responding to employee inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining open communication channels to promote a positive work environment.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects, such as employee engagement surveys, training and development programs, and policy updates, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR function.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and documents, including organizational charts, employee handbooks, and compliance reports, for internal and external stakeholders as needed.

Educational Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources / Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Work Experience:

  • Previous experience in HR or administrative support role is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR software.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

2. Veterinary Nurse

Job Description
Only persons approved or authorized by the Veterinary Practice Board may perform the duties of veterinary nurses. Schedule 4 of the Veterinary Practice Regulations 2022 sets out the acts of veterinary medicine that may be performed by veterinary nurses:
Division 1 –  Acts authorized to be carried out under the personal supervision of a veterinarian:

  • Assist The Surgeon To Perform Surgical Procedures
  • Dental Prophylaxis, Including Simple Extraction Of Teeth
  • Superficial Surgical Procedures (Such As Suturing Skin)
  • Taking Images Using X-Rays, Ultrasound, ECG Or Similar Imaging Techniques, In accordance with The Radiation Safety Act 1975 And Any Other Relevant Written Law
  • Taking Samples For The Purposes Of Pathology Tests
  • Setting Up And Supervising Intravenous Drips And Transfusions
  • Inserting And Removing Indwelling Catheters For The Administration Of Intravenous Fluids
  • Assisting With and Monitoring the Administration of Anaesthetics
  • Monitoring the Recovery of Animals From Anaesthesia

Division 2 – Acts authorized to be carried out under the direction of a veterinarian:

  • Physically examining animals;
  • Giving general health advice in relation to weight loss, nutrition, parasite control and similar matters;
  • Isolating animals and carrying out barrier nursing;
  • Administering scheduled drugs;
  • Supplying to customers with medication specified by the registered veterinary surgeon;
  • Dressing wounds and post-surgical care;
  • Supervising, caring for and nursing animals;
  • Performing clinical pathology tests.

 

3. Operations Manager 

Job Description

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Bereline Farms, ensuring efficient and effective processes across all departments.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with department heads and team leaders to establish production schedules and prioritize tasks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration among team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
  • Collaborate with other managers to develop and implement cross-functional initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to operations team members, promoting professional growth and development.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field (required).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience, preferably in the agricultural industry.
  • Proven track record of optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and achieving operational targets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and project management.
  • Knowledge of agricultural practices, equipment, and technology.

 

4. Farm Manager

Job Description

  • Oversee all farming operations at Bereline Farms, including livestock management, and land stewardship, ensuring adherence to organic farming practices and sustainability principles.
  • Develop and implement farm plans and production schedules, optimizing resources and maximizing yields while maintaining high product quality.
  • Supervise and train farm workers, guiding techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor livestock well-being, implementing disease control measures and veterinary care as needed.
  • Manage farm infrastructure and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and repair to support operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to procure inputs and services required for farm operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental regulations, and food safety standards, maintaining records and documentation as necessary.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, and technological advancements, and implement innovations to enhance farm productivity and sustainability.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, or a related field (required).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of farm management experience, with a proven track record of success in operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of organic farm practices and livestock management principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage farm teams and resources.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and procurement in a farm setting.
  • Familiarity with farming regulations, compliance requirements, and certification processes.

 

5. Farm Worker

Job Description

  • Perform various tasks related to livestock care, and general farm maintenance at Bereline Farms, following organic farming practices and safety protocols.
  • Feed, water, and care for livestock, including turkeys, chickens, cows, and fish, monitoring their health and well-being and providing necessary support.
  • Operate farm equipment and machinery safely and efficiently following proper operating procedures.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair tasks on-farm infrastructure, equipment, and facilities, such as fences, and buildings, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Follow instructions from farm supervisors and team leaders, working collaboratively with other farm workers to complete tasks and achieve production goals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Work Experience:

  • Previous experience in farming or agriculture is beneficial but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

6. Finance Manager

Job Description

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Finance Manager in various financial activities, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and transaction processing.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to support decision-making and financial planning.
  • Maintain financial records and documentation accurately and confidentially, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation of accounts, to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring activities, including gathering financial data, preparing budget reports, and analyzing variances to support budgetary control and decision-making.
  • Assist with payroll processing activities, including verifying timekeeping records, calculating wages, and preparing payroll reports, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Support audit and tax compliance activities, including providing documentation and information to auditors and tax authorities, and assisting with the preparation of audit schedules and tax returns.

Educational Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).

Work Experience:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping.

7. Human Resource Manager

Job Description

  • Oversee all aspects of human resources management at Bereline Farms, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to support organizational goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process, identifying staffing needs, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating new employee orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Manage employee relations and conflict resolution, providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues and promoting a positive work culture.
  • Administer performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fairness, consistency, and accountability.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies, identifying training needs and facilitating learning opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining accurate records and documentation as required.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of human resources management experience, preferably in the agricultural or food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with experience in interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with employees at all levels.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.

8. Salesperson

Job Description

  • Promote and sell Bereline Farms’ products to customers and clients, including retail outlets, restaurants, and distributors, to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, providing exceptional customer service, and addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify and prospect for new business opportunities, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events, to expand the customer base and market reach.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features, benefits, and value proposition of Bereline Farms’ products, effectively communicating key selling points to potential customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers, ensuring alignment with company policies and profitability objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to coordinate sales activities, resolve issues, and optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business growth.

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the farming industry.
  • With a proven track record of achieving sales targets and building relationships with customers.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with farm products and market dynamics is a plus.

 

9. Support Staff (Cleaner, Cook, Messenger, Driver)

Job Description

  • Perform various tasks to support daily operations and maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment at Bereline Farms.
  • Clean and sanitize facilities, including offices, restrooms, and common areas, to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
  • Prepare and serve meals for employees and guests, following recipes and dietary guidelines, and ensuring food safety and quality.
  • Deliver mail, packages, and other materials to designated locations within the organization, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Transport employees, visitors, and materials to and from locations as required, ensuring safe and timely travel.
  • Provide general assistance and support to employees and visitors, including answering inquiries, directing individuals to appropriate resources, and assisting with special requests.
  • Assist with inventory management activities, including receiving, stocking, and distributing supplies and materials, to support operational needs.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Work Experience:

  • Previous experience in a related role (e.g., cleaning, food service, driving) is beneficial but not required.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
  • Valid driver’s license (for drivers) and clean driving record (preferred).

10. Marketing Manager

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, social media, email marketing, and print materials.
  • Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI and achieve marketing objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance and KPIs, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to support marketing efforts and enhance brand visibility.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing, continuously innovating and adapting strategies to remain competitive in the market.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing management experience, preferably in the food industry.
