Job Title: Assistant Human Resources Officer

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full Time

 

Duties

  • Maintain an effective and efficient electronic and hard copy filing system and when necessary, retrieve documents from the filing system.
  • Manage the HR department’s incoming and outgoing mail register.
  • Coordinate Logistics for HR projects such as staff meetings, training, interviews, and staff orientation.
  • Maintain a recruitment database and archive CVs
  • Assist with sending invites to candidates, preparing the necessary documentation for interviews, conducting background checks, and coordinating pre-employment tests.
  • Follow up with Conveyors registration process
  • Manage staff HMO, welfare benefits- Births, weddings, death, etc
  • Process contract staff monthly timesheets
  • Administer the leave tracker and follow up with leave approvals.
  • Carry out HR clerical work such as photocopy and scanning of documents as well as sending to appropriate quarters and follow up to retrieve acknowledgment copies.
  • Carry out attendance analysis for the headquarters and region and generate a weekly report.
  • Process renewal of Group Life Assurance, NSITF, Health Insurance, and Fidelity Insurance.
  • Monitor the ID card and call cards production process.
  • Any other task as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Humanities or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years post-degree hands on work experience.
  • Possess strong IT skills- Ms Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work to targets and deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be resident in Abuja.
