PURPOSE OF THE JOB- Accounting Assistant
To coordinate payments and ensure that the bills payable are well checked, documented, approved, and paid correctly. Also to monitor and supervise workers’ activities on site.
THE JOB
- Manage and support the process of receiving vendors’ invoices and crosschecking necessary supporting documents.
- Ensure adequate record keeping of all documents such as invoices information, management meetings, etc.
- Carry out Processing/dispatching of cheques and payment of casual workers.
- Supervise the planning and execution of special events such as depot meetings, employee recognition events, and distribution of packages e.g. monthly free issue.
- Manage the process of monthly stock count exercise.
- Coordinate all workers on site and make necessary reports to the management.
- Serve as a liaison between the depot and other local law authorities such as Nigerian Port Authority.
- Act as general administrative assistance to the Depot Manager.
- Report all Quality and Food Safety Issues to the food safety team.
- Report all FMN Lifesaving Rules Violation and Behavioral Based Safety to the safety department.
THE PERSON MUST
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Possess the ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks.
- Pay attention to details.
QUALIFICATION
- OND in Accounting, Business Administration and related discipline.
- 5 O’ level credits including English & Mathematics in not more than 2 sittings.
EXPERIENCE
- Have at least 2 years experience in a similar role.
