Job Description- Accountant and Internal Auditor

Accountant:

  • Prepare and examine financial records
  • Ensuring records are accurate
  • Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
  • Managing income and expenditure accounts
  • Generating the company’s financial reports
  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
  • Initiating and managing the accounting software used by the company

Auditor:

  • Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
  • Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation
  • Prepare and present reports that reflect the audit’s results and document the process
  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Maintain open communication with management and the audit committee
  • Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions
  • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards

 

 

 

General Qualification

  • Candidates should possess a Degree in Accounting

 

 

Requirements

Accountant:

  • Knowledge of Accounting Practices.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software.
  • Ability to Prepare Financial Statements.
  • Knowledge of General Business Practices.
  • Critical Thinking
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets
  • Ability to work independently

Auditor:

  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Sound independent judgement
  • Knowledge of Accounting Practices.
  • Ability to Prepare Financial Statements.
  • Knowledge of General Business Practices.
