Chisco Energy Nigeria Limited is an indigenous organization with it’s operations in the downstream oil and gas sector.

 

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

  1.  Business Development Executive
  2.  Head of Trade Operations
  3.  Chief Finance Officer

 

1. Business Development Executive

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas industry, particularly downstream sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, potential clients, and opportunities for growth.
  • Create and present business proposals, contracts, and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals with clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the company’s business reach.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights to senior management.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products, services, and market positioning to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for business growth and expansion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas market, including key players, trends, and challenges.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategic plans.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

 

2. Head of Trade Operations

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive trading strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives and market dynamics.
  • Oversee the execution of trading activities, including buying, selling, and hedging of oil and gas commodities.
  • Assess and manage various types of risks inherent in commodity trading, including market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis and research to identify trading opportunities and forecast price movements.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for trading contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate contractual risks.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, suppliers, customers, and financial institutions involved in trading activities.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of traders, analysts, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing commodity trading activities. Develop and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to uphold ethical standards and mitigate compliance risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in commodity trading within the oil and gas industry, with at least 15 years of relevant experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of global energy markets, trading mechanisms, and pricing dynamics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in trading platforms, risk management tools, and financial modeling software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to commodity trading.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Financial Analyst, Energy Risk Professional) preferred.

 

3. Chief Finance Officer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial statements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize financial performance and drive growth.
  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards within the oil and gas industry.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, debt, and capital expenditures.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and the Board of Directors, helping shape the company’s long-term direction.
  • Oversee risk management strategies, including hedging, insurance, and other risk mitigation measures.
  • Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with operational goals.
  • Evaluate and implement financial software and systems to enhance financial operations and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry-specific financial practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate financing strategies is an added advantage.
