1. Safety Officer
Job Description
- The safety officer is responsible for promoting and driving safe behavior and practices by all members of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Hold pre-trip discussions with drivers before they embark on any journey
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and proffer recommendations
- Conduct pre-employment assessment of drivers and submit report on performance to the Operations Manager
- Ensure drivers undergo comprehensive medical investigations including drug tests before resuming active duties.
- Monitor drivers activities to ensure drivers comply with safety and health rules of the company, and the client
- Perform hazard evaluations and risk assessment on the terminal
- Monitoring operations in the terminal and ensure adherence to vehicles standard for loading.
- Maintain up to date records of incidences and conduct thorough accident and incident investigations including prescribing preventive measures.
- Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans
- Ensure that drivers are on their prescribed PPE’s within the terminal, depot and while on the road
- Conduct periodic spot checks to ensure drivers are compliant with the company’s policies while on the road
Requirements
- B.Sc/BA in Safety Management, Engineering or relevant field is preferred
- Must possess certification in road/occupational health and safety preferably NEBOSH
- 3-5 years proven experience as safety officer
- Experience in a transport/logistics/supply chain organization is compulsory
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate genuine concern for people and build strong communication
- Maintain a proactive approach to health and safety concerns
- Can react effectively in an emergency situation.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Diligent with great attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation skills with an ability to relate with law enforcement agents
- Membership of a Health and Safety institute is mandatory
- Good knowledge of workplace safety measures.
2. Storekeeper
Job Description
- A logistics company in Calabar, Cross River State is looking to engage a passionate individual as StoreKeeper to join our team.
- The officer would be responsible for managing our stock levels and keeping accurate records of stock movement to ensure that optimum levels of inventory are maintained.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND
- 2 years of experience
- Must be proficient in MS Office packages, especially Excel, and have an accounting background.
- High energy level and I Can-Do spirit.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to show commitment.
- Integrity.

3. Accountant
Job Summary
- We are looking to engage the services of an Accountant who is organized and detail-oriented and would be responsible for managing accounting activities and preparing financial reports, ensuring that cost is properly managed and all payments due to the organization are fully recovered.
- Candidate must be based in Calabar or willing to relocate.
Key Functions
- Posting transactions into the accounting software.
- Ensuring daily updating of bills payable and reporting.
- Updating cash and transfer payment Vouchers (excel format) with supporting documents.
- Maintain Fixed asset register and asset valuation.
- Responsible for updating payment of contract workers and payment.
- Maintain and organize the filing system of the organization.
- Ensure that source documents are kept safely and securely.
- Prepare filing documents for tax.
- Reconcile all transactions and ensure full payment for services.
- Monitor office expenses, impress and tally and enter cash receipts
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Bank statement reconciliation
- Any other duties as may be assigned
Requirements
- Min of HND/B.Sc degree in Finance/Accounting
- Min of 5 years of experience working as an Accountant or similar role
- Experience in the logistics industry is an added advantage
- Must be willing to relocate

4. Logistics Officer
Job Summary
- The ideal candidate must have experience in logistics industry and should be able to use GPS software to track and monitor the vehicles’ movement to support the operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and track vehicles form source to destination, always ascertaining the location of all vehicles
- Prepare daily loading projections for clients
- Real time tracking of all vehicle locations and event monitoring in all fleets using GPS system
- Continuously monitor aspects of driver behavior, such as speeding, fuel consumption, excessive braking and erratic driving using telematics systems in the vehicles
- Flag off all illegal movements of drivers and notify the appropriate authorities promptly to enable them act
- Monitor delays, time spent at customer locations, diversions, and illegal loadings
- Track vehicle locations and improve traceability in the event of a vehicle theft
- Analyze data to identify vehicle patterns and take remedial action to reduce costs
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized tertiary institution
- Higher education, courses in security training and another relevant field is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of progressive working experience in a similar position
- Proven experience working with vehicles, dispatch, fleet management, tracking
- Working knowledge of safety operations
- Good geographic knowledge of key areas.
